Betty Crocker ENGLISH TRIFLE

(Modified – From Recipe Card #16) – Betty Crocker International Favorites

Equipment

  • 1 13X9X2 Oblong Baking Dish

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Box Betty Crocker Yellow cake mix
  • 1 Package 16 ounces frozen strawberry halves thawed
  • 1 4-pack vanilla ready-to-serve pudding
  • 1 Container Container Cool Whip
  • 1/4 cup toasted slivered almonds *Optional
  • 7 whole strawberries *Optional

Instructions
 

  • Bake cake mix in oblong pan, 13 x9x2 inches, as directed on the package.
  • Cut the cake into pieces and arrange half in a 2-quart glass serving bowl, cutting pieces to fit.
  • Pour half the thawed strawberries over the cake and spread with half the pudding.
  • Repeat step 3.
  • Cover; chill for at least 8 hours.
  • Spread cool whip over trifle.
